Paul was born in the small town of Hood River, Oregon. Paul and his friends used their imaginations to create a new adventure every day. In the fifth grade Mrs. Carol Anderson introduce Paul to writing stories, from that point on, he has never stopped writing. Now Paul lives and works in Fort Myers, Florida

Reggy, Ellen, Joey, and Eddie begin their summer vacation in a maze of tunnels built by gophers and other animals to remain hidden from people. Their adventure turns into a rescue when one of the friends is kidnapped by rats. Their rescue takes them to the tallest mountain in the world. Along the way they meet many animals from great white sharks and a frog that sails on the ocean. They also meet an animal so old that it has out lived even the legends and now live in complete isolation.
